Described as a conductor with “ample gestures, clarity, precision, and genuine passion,” Vlad Vizireanu has made his mark as one of this generation’s finest young conductors and as an energetic and vibrant presence with a unique artistic vision.
Vizireanu made his debut with the London Symphony Orchestra at Barbican Hall as the Second Prize Winner in the 2016 Donatella Flick Competition. Vizireanu was most recently invited to the 2018 Malko Competition with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra in Copenhagen.
He was invited among 14 conductors to participate in the renowned Mahler Conducting Competition with the Bamberg Symphony. He won Second Prize in the 11th International Cadaqués Conducting Competition and conducted the Cadaqués Symphony in L’Auditori Hall, Barcelona.
"Enthusiasm, unique musical ideas, and thoughtful phrasings supported by commanding and expressive gestures achieved a remarkable intepretation of Glinka’s Overture to “Ruslan and Lyudmila”, but even more so for Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherazade”."
